Description
Superintendent - Federal Construction - Navy Yard w/ Future Travel will perform:
Enforce all site safety policies and immediately address any safety violations involving employees, subcontractors, or vendors
Lead all day-to-day field operations on site, including manpower coordination and subcontractor management
Maintain strict compliance with USACE EM385-1-1 safety requirements and ensure safe work practices are followed at all times
Execute the project using the company's established Quality Management System, ensuring field work aligns with plans/specs
Set production goals with trade partners and ensure expectations are communicated, monitored, and met in the field
Develop the project schedule alongside the Sr. Project Manager; provide monthly updates to track progress and adjust for delays/opportunities
Create and maintain 3-week look-ahead schedules and ensure subcontractors plan work accordingly
Coordinate daily with the Sr. PM, Safety Manager, and PE while leading all field sequencing, logistics, and problem-solving
Manage site documentation such as daily reports, manpower logs, delivery logs, and relevant field paperwork
Ensure the site remains organized, safe, and ready for inspections at all times
Lead subcontractor meetings, pre-task planning discussions, and ensure alignment with schedule priorities
Monitor workmanship, installation methods, and production rates to proactively address issues before they impact the schedule
Profile
Superintendent - Federal Construction - Navy Yard w/ Future Travel will have:
10+ years of federal construction experience (15+ years preferred)
Strong background in historic renovation
U.S. Citizen (required for site access)
Knowledge of USACE EM385-1-1 safety requirements
Capable of leading field operations independently while collaborating with PM, Safety, and QC teams
Experienced with federal protocols, scheduling, safety compliance, and field coordination
Comfortable working on-site daily in a field trailer and open to future travel
Job Offer
Superintendent - Federal Construction - Navy Yard w/ Future Travel will get:
10% performance-based bonus
Food & lodging stipend when traveling
3 weeks PTO (accrued; increases to 20 days at 5 years, 25 days at 10 years)
