Engineering Manager | Chemical Manufacturing

The Engineering Manager will lead and oversee engineering projects within the industrial and manufacturing sector. This role requires a professional with a strong technical background and proven leadership abilities to ensure success.

Client Details

Our client specializes in producing tire additives and rubber chemicals. Their products include insoluble sulfur, anti-degradants, and stabilizers, which are essential for enhancing the strength, durability, and performance of tires and other rubber products.

Description

  • Manage and oversee engineering projects from initiation to completion.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and timelines.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support company objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team.
  • Monitor project budgets and allocate resources effectively.
  • Evaluate and improve existing processes for optimal results.

Profile

• B.S. in Engineering Discipline, with a minimum of 7 years of industry experience (B.S. in Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred) including 3 or more years of management experience

• High level of emotional intelligence, with ability to build relationships and engage employees at all levels in the organization to drive improvements

• Exceptional leadership skills demonstrated through employee coaching, development and accountability

• Sound judgment and analysis skills to make the right decisions to manage risk

• Passion to lead change in health, safety and environmental stewardship

• Excellent communication skills

• Knowledge of OSHA PSM

  • • SAP proficiency is preferred
