Senior Superintendent - Commercial GC

We are seeking a Senior Superintendent with over 10 years of commercial construction experience to lead large-scale projects in the Columbus area. The Senior Superintendent will oversee all on-site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity while managing field teams and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Description

• Lead day-to-day on-site construction operations for large or complex commercial projects.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, field staff, materials, and equipment.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and company policies on every jobsite.
• Maintain project schedules and coordinate closely with the Project Manager to ensure milestones are met.
• Conduct daily and weekly site meetings with subcontractors and internal teams.
• Review plans, specifications, and submittals to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, site documentation, and progress photos.
• Mentor and develop assistant superintendents and field engineers.
• Foster a collaborative jobsite culture focused on communication, safety, and accountability.

Profile

A successful Senior Superintendent should have:

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction; experience as a lead on projects $10M-$50M+ preferred.
• Proven background in ground-up, renovation, or tenant improvement work across multiple sectors.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage field teams effectively.
• Deep understanding of construction drawings, sequencing, and scheduling.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and other construction management tools.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
