Superintendent - Commercial

A leading general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to manage commercial interior construction projects in Class A buildings throughout Manhattan. The role offers full site ownership and the opportunity to deliver fast-paced, detail-driven buildouts.

Our client is a well-known commercial interiors contractor with a deep portfolio of NYC office fit-outs, law firms, financial institutions, and creative agency spaces. Description

• Oversee day-to-day field operations of interior fit-out projects ranging from $500K to $10M+

• Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, and inspections while maintaining high safety standards

• Monitor project schedule and ensure milestones are met without sacrificing quality

• Enforce site safety protocols (including COVID and DOB compliance)

• Conduct daily site meetings and maintain progress logs and punch lists

• Communicate effectively with PMs, clients, and building management teams

• Ensure that all work is performed according to drawings, specs, and client expectations

Profile

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience with commercial interior construction in Manhattan

• Strong understanding of NYC Class A building protocols and logistics

• OSHA 30-hour certification (required); SST card preferred

• Ability to lead multiple trades in tight spaces under compressed timelines

• Familiarity with project documentation platforms (Procore, Fieldwire, or similar)

• A sharp eye for detail and high-end finishes

• Excellent communication and leadership skills under pressure
