Project Manager - Charlotte
A growing Southeast general contractor is seeking a Project Manager to oversee a new $30M Animal Care & Control Adoption Center in Charlotte. This role offers significant autonomy, ESOP participation, and the opportunity to help establish and grow the company's Carolinas presence.

Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Georgia, this contractor operates across the Southeast with strong activity in Georgia, the Carolinas, Alabama, and Florida. With approximately $100M in 2024 revenue, the company is known for its public‑sector expertise across higher education, municipal builds, education, and sports facilities-ranging from $5M to $20M. They offer an ESOP, maintain a flexible, low‑red‑tape culture, and are heavily investing in expanding their Carolinas portfolio.
Description
- Plan, execute, and manage construction projects from inception to completion.
- Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project progression.
- Monitor project performance and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues proactively.
- Prepare regular status reports and updates for stakeholders.
- Ensure client satisfaction by maintaining clear and consistent communication.
- Oversee project documentation and ensure proper record-keeping.
Profile
A successful Project Manager should have:
- 2-3+ years of experience as a Project Manager on ground‑up projects
- Experience with site work and $20M+ project sizes
- Preference for candidates with light industrial backgrounds
- Strong communication, organization, and ability to operate autonomously
Job Offer
Base salary: $110k to $140k
- $700/month truck allowance
