Description
The Quality Engineer, Industrial Manufacturing, will:
- Provide technical support on quality-related issues across departments, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
- Represent the Quality function in cross-functional teams to ensure procedures, best practices, and quality standards are maintained
- Create, test, and maintain CMM programs; guide and mentor Quality Technicians on system use and program execution
- Lead and participate in nonconformance investigations, write NCRs, and drive effective corrective and preventive actions
- Support MRB meetings and First Article Inspection (FAI) reviews
- Manage and resolve customer complaints in coordination with Sales and Service, including equipment returns and replacements
- Develop inspection plans for incoming materials in collaboration with Quality Technicians and Manufacturing Engineers
- Monitor and recommend improvements in inspection technologies, tools, and methods
- Oversee supplier quality performance and compliance, including corrective action follow-up
- Maintain and update calibration records, coordinate internal and external calibration activities
- Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits (ISO 9001, PED, ATEX, 3A), including corrective action planning
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality system requirements through documentation, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Be onsite at our Danvers, MA facility
Profile
- Minimum 5 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with inspection tools and techniques, including CMM programming and operation
- Solid understanding of ISO 9001 standards and audit processes
- Proven ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions
- Experience writing and maintaining quality procedures and inspection plans
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and train others
- Familiarity with handling customer complaints and coordinating resolutions
- Knowledge of supplier quality management, including issuing and following up on corrective actions
- Comfortable supporting internal and third-party audits (e.g., ISO 9001, PED, ATEX, 3A)
- Experience participating in MRB and First Article Inspection (FAI) processes
- Working knowledge of calibration systems and maintaining calibration records
- Continuous improvement mindset with practical experience in process improvement methodologies
