Manufacturing Engineer - Aerospace - Hartford, CT
This position focuses on developing, improving, and optimizing manufacturing processes for aerospace components in a hands‑on, fast‑paced machining environment. The engineer will collaborate directly with operators, customers, and cross‑functional teams to enhance quality, efficiency, and manufacturability.

Description
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, evaluating, and improving machining processes for both new and legacy aerospace components.
Working closely with engineering, operations, and quality teams, this person will troubleshoot shop‑floor issues, design tooling, create process documentation, and apply continuous improvement methodologies to increase throughput and reduce waste.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine manufacturing processes, tooling, and operation sheets for new and existing parts.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, tools, and equipment, implementing corrective actions.
- Apply continuous improvement principles to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and standardize machining centers.
Profile
The ideal candidate has strong aerospace manufacturing engineering experience, particularly in CNC machining and process development for precision components.
They bring expertise in engineering documentation, tooling design, CAD/CAM, and continuous improvement tools, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Candidate Qualifications
- Engineering degree with 5+ years aerospace experience.
- CNC machining expertise, plus proficiency in Mastercam, SolidWorks, and ERP tools.
