Global Director of Manufacturing Finance and Controlling
The Global Director of Manufacturing Finance and Controlling plays a critical leadership role in overseeing financial activities across the company's global manufacturing operations. This leader will work closely with multiple teams within global operations to champion financial excellence and change initiatives partnering closely with the COO and reporting directly to the CFO.

Our client for the Global Director of Manufacturing Finance and Controlling opportunity is a global leading consumer durable goods manufacturer with a strong brand reputation and high-quality products with over 100 years of history. This client has locations in over 25 countries and continues to grow through innovation.
The Global Director of Manufacturing Finance and Controlling plays a critical leadership role in overseeing financial activities across the company's global manufacturing operations. This includes managing Financial Operations and Controls, Cost Accounting, and Supply Chain FP&A. The role is responsible for implementing financial strategies that support the broader goals of the organization, with a focus on operational efficiency, cost control, and cross-functional collaboration. This leader will work closely with multiple teams within global operations to champion financial excellence and change initiatives partnering closely with the COO and reporting directly to the CFO.
Description
- Serve as a strategic advisor and key financial partner to the COO, CFO, and global operations leadership.
- Lead and manage financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis processes for operations, including manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain.
- Develop and enhance systems to track and drive accountability for productivity improvements and cost-saving efforts.
- Collaborate with operations leadership to define and implement KPIs that drive performance excellence across the global manufacturing and supply network.
- Standardize cost accounting practices across all facilities to support effective decision-making and strategic alignment.
- Provide direction and leadership to finance teams, setting goals, delegating work, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and performance excellence.
- Oversee the planning and execution of the annual operating budget for global operations.
- Support professional growth and performance management within the finance team by assigning clear objectives, providing regular feedback, and identifying development opportunities.
- Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by executive leadership.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. CPA or MBA is preferred.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including cost accounting and multi-site financial oversight.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing finance teams.
- Strong ability to convey financial concepts clearly across all organizational levels and simplify complex data into visual and actionable insights.
- Must have prior or current experience within consumer products, durable goods preferred
- Proven analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative leadership style.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing finance, including operational and cost accounting processes.
- Comfortable managing competing priorities and navigating organizational change.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams, inspiring performance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Must embody and promote commitment to respect, process focus, and creating customer value.
- Extensive knowledge and experience working with large ERP systems, D365 and SAP preferred
- Highly level of honesty, integrity and standing by ethical principles
- Must be willing to travel 25-30% domestic and globally
Job Offer
Competitive base salary $175,000 - $225,000 depending on experience, bonus, full benefits, 401K, vacation, holidays. Opportunity to work for a global leading consumer goods company in a highly visible global role reporting directly to the CFO.
