Client Details
Our client is an extremely reputable General Contractor (ranked in the Top ENR) with an international presence. They pride themselves in delivering complex mission critical, mixed-use, aviation, commercial, healthcare and K-12 projects worth $100M+. They are currently looking to grow their team in Northern VA by bringing on an experienced Lead Superintendent. This person will be given the opportunities and resources of an international firm, but experience a tight-knit family-oriented environment in their Northern VA office.
Description
The Lead Superintendent - Top ENR Firm - Large Projects will be responsible for:
- Project Oversight: Lead all on-site construction activities for large-scale projects, coordinating trades, subcontractors, and resources to ensure project milestones are met.
- Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment for all personnel. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
- Schedule Management: Develop, manage, and update project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and effective resource allocation.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all work performed meets the required quality standards and complies with project specifications and relevant building codes.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor on-site staff, including foremen and laborers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction, proactively implementing solutions to minimize disruptions.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track costs, and manage change orders to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress reports, and any incidents on-site.
Profile
The Lead Superintendent - Top ENR Firm - Large Projects will have:
- 10+ years of experience in construction management, with a focus on large-scale, new construction projects ($50M+)
- proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects from inception to completion
- strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- relevant certifications are a plus
