Assistant Construction PM - Public and Private Commercial Work
Our client, a reputable GC based in Holliston is actively looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their team!
Client Details
Reputable Commercial General Contractor, based in Holliston MA, is looking for an APM to join their team! First job will be a $33M Historic Revitalization project.
They specialize in both ground up and renovations projects around $10M-$35M on avg. 50% of work is public 50% private.
Recently built out a new BIM department within the business!
They focus on providing the highest quality of work and service to their clients - by providing a manageable workload to their staff, so employees can dedicate their time and efforts into each job that they work on.
Description
The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for:
- Working out of the office in Holliston, MA
- Collaborating with the Project Manager to plan, execute, and close construction projects
- Assisting in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Assisting in monitoring project progress, identifying issues, and implementing solutions to keep projects on track
- Preparing and maintaining project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes
- Supporting the preparation of project status reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders
- Assisting in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Contributing to project financial management, including budget tracking and cost control
- Participating in regular project meetings and communicating project updates to team members
- Fostering strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction
Profile
The right candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience as an APM with a Commercial General Contractor
- Preferably public or multifamily experience but open to strong commercial background
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and quality standards
- Commitment to teamwork and collaboration
