Project Manager - Public Sector Construction | NYC

We are hiring multiple Project Managers for full-time, field-based roles overseeing public-sector construction projects across NYC. These include a courthouse renovation, a new FDNY fire station, and a women's shelter.

This general contractor, founded in 1971, brings over five decades of expertise in public and institutional projects. Led by a second-generation leadership team, they emphasize integrity, stewardship, and team-driven project execution.

Description

• Oversee all phases of construction from pre-construction through close-out

• Manage subcontractors, schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and client relations

• Handle documentation: change orders, invoices, meeting minutes, and reports

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and public sector standards

• Coordinate with field staff and office teams via MS Suite and network drives

Profile

• Hold a degree in Engineering/Technology or come from a union trade background

• Have 7-10+ years of experience in public-sector construction (ground-up or heavy renovation)

• Be highly organized, tech-savvy, and documentation-focused

• Be proactive, team-oriented, and comfortable in a client-facing role

Job Offer

• Salary ranges from $130K-$170K
