Preconstruction Manager
A mid‑sized, rapidly growing construction firm is seeking a Preconstruction Manager (Level 2) to support their expanding portfolio across hospitality, aviation, commercial, and emerging data center projects. This role is ideal for a motivated, detail‑driven professional eager to collaborate closely with ownership, design teams, and operations.

The hiring organization is a second‑generation, privately held construction company with more than $100M in active work and a strong presence across Florida, plus select national projects. The culture is family‑oriented, entrepreneurial, and attractive to individuals coming from larger firms who want to be more than just a number.
Description
- Collaborate with ownership and design teams to align on project goals.
- Review project documents for accuracy and completeness to support the design process.
- Assist in developing and maintaining the preconstruction schedule.
- Prepare scope packages, vet subcontractors, and ensure compliance with contract documents.
- Perform quantity take‑offs and detailed plan reviews.
- Support estimate development and owner proposal preparation.
- Partner with operations team on budget development.
- Utilize Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office tools effectively.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years' experience in preconstruction management (not just estimating).
- Strong proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Office.
- Hard‑working, motivated, and passionate about the construction industry.
- Forward‑thinking professional who enjoys contributing ideas and collaborating with a close‑knit team.
- Comfortable working 5 days a week on‑site in the Fort Lauderdale office (Panama City may be considered for exceptional candidates).
- Background from major engineering/construction schools is a plus
Job Offer
Salary: $115K-$130K (Preconstruction Manager Level 2)
- Phone Allowance: $1,440 annually
- Vehicle Allowance: $7,800 annually
- Maintenance Allowance: $1,200 annually
- Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision fully covered for employee + dependents starting the first month after hire
- 401(k): Employer matches 100% of first 3% + 50% of next 2%
- Time Off: 3 weeks vacation (increases to 4 weeks after 5 years), 6 sick days, 9 paid holidays + 2 floating holidays
