Description

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for:

  • Assisting with subcontractor and supplier buyouts, procurement, and contract management
  • Supporting project closeout documentation and ensuring all requirements are met
  • Managing the submittal and RFI processes, ensuring timely responses and approvals
  • Evaluating RFPs and soliciting competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Overseeing owner and subcontractor change orders, tracking costs and approvals
  • Proactively resolving project-related issues to keep schedules and budgets on track
  • Monitoring and ensuring the timely procurement of materials
  • Working closely with the project management team in a small, collaborative environment with direct access to ownership

Profile

The right Assistant Project Manager has the following qualifications:

  • Must be commutable to Waltham, MA. No hybrid/remote options available.
  • 3+ years of experience in the construction industry
  • Ground-up or renovation experience on projects $20M+
  • Ideally within public, academic, or K-12 construction
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience using Procore or other construction management software.
  • Familiar with Procore
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment

Job Offer

The Assistant Project Manager will receive:

  • Compensation $85K-$125K (based on experience)
  • Project Bonus: For on-time project completion
  • 100% employer-paid health insurance
  • 401k 3% match
  • 2 weeks vacation to start, plus 5 sick days and 2 personal days
