Assistant Production Manager
Assistant Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the furnace/smelting departments, ensuring that customer orders are filled on time and complete, and maintaining consistent, superior quality.
Client Details
Our client is a privately owned primary and secondary aluminum smelter specializing in producing clean, high-quality specification aluminum alloys. Since its founding over 50 years ago, the company has maintained a steady workforce of around 50 employees while expanding its production capabilities to include over 75 different alloys, serving a diverse range of industries from die casting to investment casting.
Description
- Overseeing day-to-day production operations
- Implementing and enforcing safety initiatives
- Production forecasting
- Working with quality, shipping, and senior leadership to ensure on time delivery
- Managing and tracking production KPIs
- Implementing process improvements to drive efficiency
- Determining labor allocation
Profile
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Exposure to metal manufacturing environments
- Strong communication skills
- Hands-on production experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and material tracking
Job Offer
- Base salary up to $120,000 based on experience
- 401K 5% match (Safe Harbor)
