Assistant Production Manager

Assistant Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the furnace/smelting departments, ensuring that customer orders are filled on time and complete, and maintaining consistent, superior quality.

Our client is a privately owned primary and secondary aluminum smelter specializing in producing clean, high-quality specification aluminum alloys. Since its founding over 50 years ago, the company has maintained a steady workforce of around 50 employees while expanding its production capabilities to include over 75 different alloys, serving a diverse range of industries from die casting to investment casting.

Description

• Overseeing day-to-day production operations
• Implementing and enforcing safety initiatives
• Production forecasting
• Working with quality, shipping, and senior leadership to ensure on time delivery
• Managing and tracking production KPIs
• Implementing process improvements to drive efficiency
• Determining labor allocation

Profile

• 2+ years of leadership experience
• Exposure to metal manufacturing environments
• Strong communication skills
• Hands-on production experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and material tracking

Job Offer

• Base salary up to $120,000 based on experience
