We are seeking an experienced Labor Relations Lead for a 6-month contract. This role will be critical in managing union relationships, handling grievance resolutions, and ensuring alignment with labor laws and collective bargaining agreements.

Description

  • Provide strategic labor relations support, including contract interpretation, grievance resolution, and collective bargaining negotiations.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for union representatives and internal stakeholders on all labor-related matters.
  • Investigate and resolve labor disputes, grievances, and disciplinary actions while ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Partner with HR, legal, and operational teams to develop and implement effective labor relations strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze labor trends, legislative changes, and collective bargaining agreements to provide proactive recommendations.
  • Support leadership in preparing for union negotiations, including research, proposal development, and strategy execution.
  • Conduct training sessions for management on labor laws, union relations, and best practices for handling employee concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of labor relations activities, ensuring documentation is up-to-date and legally compliant.

Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in labor relations or a related field, with a strong understanding of union environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in grievance handling, contract negotiations, and labor dispute resolution.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, NLRB regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with union representatives and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage complex employee relations issues with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
  • Experience in a unionized environment
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Industrial Relations, Business, or a related field (Master's or JD a plus).
