Senior Accountant

A well-established and growing organization is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. This role will partner closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and process efficiency.

Description

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations

• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP

• Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure accurate financial reporting

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation

• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies

• Collaborate with operations, AP/AR, and finance leadership on ad hoc projects

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting

• Experience with ERP or accounting systems (manufacturing or project-based environments a plus) - Quickbooks preferred

• Advanced Excel skills

• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
