Event Coordinator
This role supports all aspects of annual fundraising events for a nonprofit dedicated to preventing child abuse, including budget management, event setup, and vendor coordination. Ideal candidates have 2-3 years of event planning experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Raiser's Edge.
Client Details
Our client is an international nonprofit foundation focused on the prevention and treatment of child abuse through impactful programs and fundraising initiatives. Headquartered in New York City, the organization partners with a dedicated network of volunteers, Committee members, and Board members to support their mission across the United States, Canada, the UK, the Cayman Islands, and Hong Kong.
Description
- Collaborate with Event Committees to plan and support all aspects of annual events, attending meetings on-site or virtually
- Develop and oversee event budgets
- Maintain RSVP and revenue tracking
- Manage vendor and partner relationships to ensure smooth event execution
- Coordinate all aspects of event setup, breakdown, and post-event follow-up
- Work closely with the Senior Director of Development & Events and the Executive Director/COO to create marketing materials
- Update and post events on the organization's website
- Partner with team members on other ongoing projects and initiatives
- Additional administrative responsibilities as assigned
Profile
- 2-3 years of experience in event planning and database management
- Proficiency with Raiser's Edge is essential
- Bachelor's degree required
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and InDesign is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with donors, staff, and the public
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate new ideas and adapt in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Self-motivated and confident in both independent and team settings
- Ability to anticipate needs and show initiative
- Willingness to travel domestically for events, as needed
- Availability to work extended hours during events
