Construction Project Manager/Superintendent - North Jersey

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager/Superintendent for an on-site position in the Jersey City area. This role will be responsible for overseeing construction projects, managing daily on-site operations, and supervising trades to ensure the successful delivery of projects for a prominent North Jersey-based real estate developer.

Description

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently and safely.
• Manage and supervise all trades on-site, including subcontractors, to ensure the project meets design, budget, and schedule expectations.
• Coordinate between different teams, suppliers, and contractors to keep the project on track.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor project progress and quality of work.
• Provide leadership, direction, and support to the project team, ensuring adherence to project timelines and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, challenges, and milestones.
• Ensure that all work is compliant with local building codes and safety regulations.

Profile

A successful Project Manager/Superintendent should have:

• At least 5 years of experience in project management or as a superintendent in construction, ideally with a focus on interiors projects / CM firm work.
• Experience being lead on a smaller project not just a small part of a larger project
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple trades and contractors.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and solve challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• A deep understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
• Proficient with project management software and tools.
• A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
