Product Engineer
Client Details
Our Client specializes in designing and producing custom-molded rubber components and related elastomer solutions. Its capabilities include compression, transfer, and injection molding, custom compound formulation, metal-to-rubber bonding, and value-added services such as prototyping, design support, and inventory management.
Description
- Adhere to all safety policies and report hazards or violations.
- Promote safe practices on the shop floor.
- Lead new product development from concept through launch, including feasibility analysis and planning.
- Apply project management tools to ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Design and develop molding processes, tooling, and equipment for compression, transfer, and injection molding.
- Create detailed engineering drawings and BOMs using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to source and evaluate rubber materials.
- Support manufacturing teams during the transition from design to production.
- Manage product data and schedules using ERP systems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to molding processes and product design.
- Conduct design and process reviews for efficiency improvements.
- Monitor product performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Strong knowledge of rubber molding processes (compression, transfer, injection).
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Project management experience with ability to handle multiple projects.
- Familiarity with ERP systems for product data and scheduling.
- Understanding of rubber materials and curing processes.
- Experience in new product development and feasibility analysis.
- Knowledge of FEA and other engineering analysis tools is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and committed to high-quality results.
- Familiarity with quality management principles.
Job Offer
- Competitive salary ranging from $8,000 to $120,000 per year.
