We are partnered up with a growing Plastic Injection Molding Manufacturing Company in their search to add a CNC Programmer to the team due to growth. The site has 30+ employees and this position will report into the Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience with CNC Programming. Description
The CNC Programmer - Plastic Injection Molding will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for machining injection mold components, electrodes, and other tooling parts.
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and EDM machines as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds to maximize efficiency and precision.
- Work closely with engineers, mold makers, and production teams to ensure high-quality tooling and molded parts.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to CNC programs.
- Maintain CNC equipment, tooling, and work area to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Ensure all machining processes meet quality standards and production specifications.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machining efficiency and reduce waste.
Profile
The ideal CNC Progammer - Plastic Injection Molding will have the following qualifications:
- Experience: 1+ years of CNC programming experience in an injection molding or tooling environment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in machining, CNC programming, or manufacturing preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CNC programming (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar CAM software).
- Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC machine operations.
- Knowledge of mold tooling, machining tolerances, and materials used in injection molding.
- Ability to use precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, CMM).
- Experience with EDM machining is a plus.
Job Offer
The successful CNC Programmer - Plastic Injection Molding will be rewarded with the following:
- Base Salary of $50,000-$65,000 depending on experience
