RELOCATION VERMONT - Quality Engineer - Plastic Medical Device
The Quality Manufacturing Engineer (plastic medical device manufacturing) will oversee product quality assurance, including internal audits, customer complaint resolution, and process quality management, with a focus on precision injection molding. They will also lead quality training, support design reviews, and maintain quality documentation while ensuring compliance with ISO/QS standards at the Royalton, VT location.

Description
The Quality Manufacturing Engineer (Plastics Medical Device Manufacturing) Will:
- Oversee quality assurance operations, including supervision of QA auditors and weekend staff.
- Conduct daily inspections of product and processes, focusing on areas 6 and 7.
- Manage internal, customer, and ISO/QS audits and contribute to audit preparation.
- Analyze and resolve internal product quality issues, including customer complaints and corrective actions.
- Perform quality validation for products following mold repairs and monitor manufacturing process quality, including insert molding.
- Approve Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and facilitate product design reviews and hand-off approvals.
- Develop, maintain, and utilize Quality Assurance Reports (QARs) and applied statistics databases.
- Provide specific quality training for QA auditors and Manufacturing Quality Technicians (MQTs).
- Lead customer quality reviews and on-site quality resolution activities.
- Assist in developing and maintaining procedures and quality documentation.
- Participate as a member of the internal auditing team.
- Manage quality assurance operations in the absence of the QA Manager.
- Onsite at our Royalton, VT facility
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science preferred.
- Certified Quality Auditor and/or Quality Engineer credentials are highly desirable.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering.
- Proficient with measurement equipment and related tools.
- Skilled in computer programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with SPC methods.
- Knowledge and experience in:
- Control plan development.
- Reading product prints and specifications.
- Customer interface and relationship management.
- Familiarity with molding processes, procedures, and molded product quality control.
- ISO/QS system knowledge and application experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Local to Royalton, VT or open to relocation - relo package provided
