Project Accountant/Bookkeeper
Our client, a construction-focused company in Leominster, MA, is seeking a Project Accountant with a background in construction accounting to support their financial operations.
Client Details
Our client has been in business for over a decade and are an established contractor in central MA. They offer an excellent working environment with well-tenured individuals who support and collaborate with each other.
Description
The Project Accountant/Bookkeeper is responsible for
- Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable: Manage billing, collections, and payments.
- Cost Accounting: Support accurate cost tracking and reporting to ensure project budgets are maintained.
- General Accounting: Perform essential accounting tasks in compliance with company policies.
- Subcontractor Invoicing: Handle invoicing tasks specific to subcontractors (no material ordering).
- Lien Waivers & Cost Reporting: Process lien waivers and create detailed cost reports.
- Employee Reimbursements: Process reimbursements for employee expenses.
- Software Utilization: Use ComputerEase and Procore for daily accounting tasks and project management.
Profile
The successful Project Accountant/Bookkeeper has the following skills
- Experience: 2-5 years in construction accounting or general accounting within the construction industry. Candidates with experience working for a subcontractor are highly preferred.
- Preferred Skills: Familiarity with construction accounting principles; proficiency in Procore and ComputerEase software.
- Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
- Location: Must be within commuting distance to Leominster, MA.
Job Offer
