Safety Coordinator- Sporting- Claremont, NH
The Safety Coordinator is responsible for developing and enforcing safety policies and programs to maintain a safe and compliant workplace. The role requires strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, risk assessment, and industrial safety standards.

Description
Key Responsibilities:
Design, execute, and oversee safety programs and policies to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations such as OSHA.
Lead routine safety audits, facility inspections, and hazard assessments.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective and preventive measures.
Provide safety training and education to employees.
Maintain detailed records of safety incidents, training sessions, equipment checks, and corrective actions taken.
Act as a primary point of contact for emergency preparedness, response, and drill coordination.
Collaborate with production teams and management to identify risks and drive process enhancements.
Ensure proper usage and upkeep of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety tools.
Monitor and communicate safety performance metrics to senior leadership regularly.
Foster a strong safety culture through ongoing communication, engagement, and training initiatives.
Process Improvement & Lean Integration:
Work closely with the EHS manager to integrate Lean principles into safety initiatives, focusing on waste reduction and operational efficiency.
Support the creation of standardized documentation, inspection checklists, and reporting procedures.
Detect process inefficiencies and contribute to problem-solving efforts using root cause analysis and preventive action plans.
Profile
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
At least 2-4 years of experience in a safety-focused role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations and relevant safety standards.
Excellent organizational, communication, and training abilities.
Skilled in data analysis and translating findings into practical actions.
Certifications like OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) are advantageous.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and safety management software.
