Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with the Accounting & Finance team in the industrial/manufacturing industry

Description

• Full close responsibility (excluding sales, inventory/COGS, payroll, high-risk reserves)
• Monthly and quarterly commission calculations in partnership with sales leadership
• Support cash collections and billing, with a focus on reducing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) to 45 days or less
• Assist with sales and use tax filings, as well as other corporate tax submissions
• Prepare inventory valuation and expired contract reports bi-monthly
• Generate and distribute monthly sales flash and sourcing sales reports
• Assist with the consolidation, annual budget, and audit processes

Profile

A successful Staff Accountant should have:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience in accounting within the industrial/manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
