Description

The Assistant Project Manager - K-12 / Multifamily / Federal - DC Area will have the following responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager (PM) on large-scale projects, assisting with all aspects of project delivery.
  • Take ownership of key administrative functions, including document control, submittals, RFIs, and tracking project finances.
  • Lead OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings and begin developing skills in cost estimating and change order development.
  • Maintain project schedules, manage contractors, and ensure adherence to project timelines.
  • Assist with preparation of price estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
  • Actively engage with project teams and collaborate with senior leadership to address challenges and keep projects on track.
  • Assist in the development of change orders, reviewing project scope and ensuring timely approvals.
  • Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Foster positive working relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

This role is based in Washington, DC, and requires candidates to be in-office. The ideal candidate will have a passion for construction management and a strong desire to work on projects that positively impact the community.

Profile

The Assistant Project Manager - K-12 / Multifamily / Federal - DC Area will have the following qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years as an Assistant Project Manager, preferably with exposure to multi-family housing or K-12 projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Procore software is required. Exposure to cost estimating and financial tracking is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Work Environment: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, working effectively both independently and with others.
  • Additional: Must be self-motivated with a strong ability to stand on your own while seeking opportunities for growth and development.

Job Offer

The Assistant Project Manager - K-12 / Multifamily / Federal - DC Area Area will receive:

  • Base Salary: $85k - $100k + sign-on bonus
  • Bonus: 5-7% of base salary
  • Car Allowance: $300 per month
  • Technology Allowance: $125 per month
