Description

As the Traveling Quality Control Manager, you will oversee all quality-related functions on active construction sites, ensuring compliance with Federal standards and project specifications. Reporting to the Senior Project Leadership Team, you will:

  • Lead and manage the project-specific Quality Control Program on large Federal new‑build projects
  • Conduct inspections, review submittals, and ensure adherence to applicable codes, specs, and QC plans
  • Coordinate with owners, subcontractors, and field teams to resolve quality issues proactively
  • Manage documentation, reporting, and (limited) safety paperwork in alignment with Federal requirements
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and close‑out quality procedures
  • Support project teams on high‑complexity scopes in active operational environments
  • Maintain continuous QC presence throughout all phases of construction

Profile

For the Quality Control Manager we are seeking:

  • Proven experience in Quality Control on Federal or highly regulated construction projects
  • Ability to manage QC programs on ground‑up new builds valued $20M-$60M+
  • Strong understanding of Federal standards, QC documentation, and inspection processes
  • Experience working on active or operational facilities strongly preferred
  • Willingness to travel full‑time and relocate from project to project
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and field‑problem‑solving skills
  • USACE, EM 385‑1‑1, or similar Federal project exposure is a strong advantage
