Description

As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all field operations on a $150M new build data center campus near Fredericksburg, VA.

The Superintendent - Data Center / Base Building - Fredericksburg will have the following responsibilities:

• Managing and coordinating daily construction activities on-site, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Supervising a team of 10 Assistant Superintendents and Field Engineers, providing leadership and support to ensure project goals are met.
• Ensuring compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Reviewing and managing project schedules, identifying potential delays, and implementing corrective measures to keep the project on track.
• Coordinating inspections and approvals, maintaining a deep understanding of county inspections and requirements.
• Ensuring quality control, managing subcontractors, and resolving any conflicts that arise on-site.
• Maintaining a positive work environment, fostering teamwork and morale, and ensuring regular communication with the project management team.

Profile

The Superintendent - Data Center / Base Building - Fredericksburg will have the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction, specifically managing large-scale, $50M+ projects.
• Proven experience on ground-up construction projects, preferably in data centers or similar high-technical facilities.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and guide a large team of professionals.
• Knowledge of local building codes and inspection processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Expertise in managing construction schedules, identifying issues, and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
• Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including occasional Saturdays or night shifts.
