Staff Accountant

Description

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations across U.S., EU, and China entities, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger functions.

• Process and oversee high-value and high-risk financial transactions, including large client payments and receipts, ensuring accuracy, sound judgement, and accountability.

• Act as a client-facing finance partner by communicating with clients regarding invoices, payments, reconciliations, and financial inquiries.

• Perform reconciliations of multi-currency bank accounts, credit cards, and payment platforms to maintain accurate and timely financial records.

• Review and process vendor invoices, international payments, and employee expense reimbursements in accordance with internal controls and approval workflows.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, financial reporting, and audit preparation across multiple jurisdictions.

• Prepare financial analyses, variance reports, and management reports using ERP systems and Excel.

• Interpret complex financial data and present clear, actionable insights to internal leadership and clients.

• Support finance leadership with cash flow planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial risk management.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, company policies, and cross-border regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with global operations, sales, and leadership teams to resolve discrepancies, improve processes, and enhance client experience.

Profile

• Detail-oriented and highly accountable accounting professional with 7+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and finance.

• Demonstrated experience managing high-value transactions, sensitive client payments, and financial risk with accuracy and discretion.

• Skilled in client-facing financial communication, clearly explaining invoices, payments, and financial information in a professional manner.

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, account reconciliations, and internal control procedures.

• Analytical professional capable of developing reports, interpreting financial data, and translating insights into clear business narratives.

• Highly organized, dependable, and detail-focused, trusted with critical financial responsibilities.

• Effective communicator who collaborates confidently across time zones, cultures, and cross-functional teams.
