Assistant Project Manager

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong multitasking abilities, effective communication skills, and a passion for luxury interior construction.

Description

  • Project Support:

    • Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and scopes of work.
    • Help coordinate construction activities from inception to project completion.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Support communication with clients, architects, designers, and subcontractors.
    • Attend project meetings and provide updates on progress and issues.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including meeting minutes, RFIs, and submittals.
    • Assist in creating progress reports, tracking changes, and managing approvals.
  • Quality Assurance:

    • Monitor on-site work to ensure it meets design specifications and luxury standards.
    • Identify potential issues and escalate them to the Project Manager for resolution.
  • Procurement and Vendor Coordination:

    • Help manage procurement of materials, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project needs.
    • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project schedules.
  • Compliance and Safety:

    • Support compliance with local building codes, permits, and safety regulations.
    • Promote a safe and clean job site environment for all team members.

Profile

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience managing high-end residential interior construction projects, preferably in South Florida.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project).
    • Familiarity with luxury materials, finishes, and custom design elements.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
