Senior Accountant - Technical Accounting and Policy
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Technical and Policy Team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in accounting principles, technical standards, and policy development.

Technical Accounting Expertise:
- Provide technical expertise on complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, leases, financial instruments, and other specialized areas.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and ensure the company's compliance with evolving regulations.
- Offer guidance on accounting policies, ensuring alignment with best practices and compliance with relevant standards.

Policy Development & Implementation:
- Develop, review, and update internal accounting policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulatory changes.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to communicate and enforce accounting policies and best practices across the organization.
- Provide support during internal audits and external audits, ensuring policies and procedures are followed correctly.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with established accounting standards.
- Provide in-depth analysis of financial data to ensure the accuracy of reporting and to identify trends or discrepancies.
- Support senior leadership with the analysis of financial performance, ensuring clear and actionable insights.

Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other teams (e.g., tax, legal, operations) to ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
- Offer technical advice and recommendations during the development of new financial systems or processes.
- Assist in developing training materials and providing ongoing training to junior staff or other departments on accounting standards and internal controls.

Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead initiatives to automate and enhance accounting workflows, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

Regulatory & Compliance Oversight:
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including tax and financial reporting obligations.
- Respond to regulatory inquiries and assist in the preparation of necessary documentation for tax returns and filings.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation or equivalent professional certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical accounting, policy development, and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and other financial regulations.
- Proven experience in policy development, implementation, and compliance within a corporate environment.
- Ability to communicate complex accounting topics in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
