The Logistics Assistant coordinates and manages the movement, storage, and delivery of food products, ensuring timely and accurate distribution.

My client is a nation leader in the Food + Bev Distribution space. They have 8 locations nationwide.

Description

* Process carrier invoices

* Reconcile invoice discrepancies
* Cross-check costs and margins
* Pursue freight shortages
* Create load tenders for pick-ups
* Follow up on accepted tenders
* Field carrier calls and inquiries
* Follow up on load status
* Provide support with backhauls/coverage, as needed

Profile

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Must be detail oriented with good follow up skills.
* Must have a strong background in math.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Must be able to multi-task and handle a busy workload in order to meet strong deadlines.
* Customer service mindset/background
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast paced environment.
* Must be able to work independently and within the framework of a team.
