A leading Commercial General Contractor is hiring a Healthcare Superintendent to oversee complex healthcare construction projects in Manhattan. This role requires hands-on site leadership, ensuring compliance with health regulations, safety protocols, and tight scheduling demands typical of occupied medical environments.

The client is a highly respected general contractor with a strong portfolio of healthcare, institutional, and commercial projects across New York City. They are known for their technical expertise, collaborative project approach, and ability to execute high-stakes construction in sensitive, operational environments like hospitals and clinics.
Description
Manage all field operations on healthcare construction projects, ensuring compliance with infection control and regulatory standards.
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and daily jobsite activities to maintain schedule and safety.
Liaise with hospital facilities teams, inspectors, and project managers to ensure smooth workflows in occupied or critical care settings.
Monitor quality control, manage RFIs, and resolve issues in real-time to keep projects on track.
Profile
The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent, including significant work in active healthcare environments. They possess strong knowledge of infection control, hospital protocols, and healthcare-specific construction requirements, along with excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
