Jr. Mechanical Estimator

As a Jr. Mechanical Estimator, you will play a vital role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for piping and mechanical projects. As a Jr. Mechanical Estimator, you will collaborate with senior estimators, project managers, and other team members to analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.

Description

• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to prepare estimates.
• Perform quantity take-offs for piping and mechanical systems.
• Research and source pricing for materials, equipment, and labor.
• Prepare cost breakdowns and bid proposals.
• Collaborate with the project management team to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
• Assist in maintaining a database of material and labor costs.
• Identify project risks and provide input on potential value engineering solutions.

Profile

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical estimating, specifically with piping systems.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of piping systems, HVAC, and mechanical construction.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is a plus.
