Description

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for commercial interior construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other associated costs.

• Review project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documentation to identify key project requirements and estimate project scope.

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, contractors, and suppliers to gather necessary data and refine cost estimates.

• Assess potential risks and propose strategies for cost control and budget optimization.

• Analyze and compare bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective choices.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material costs, and labor rates to produce competitive and accurate estimates.

• Provide timely, professional responses to client inquiries and ensure clear communication of project costs.

• Assist in the preparation of proposals, contracts, and change orders.

• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data for more accurate estimates.

• Ensure that estimates align with project timelines, scope, and quality standards.

• Monitor ongoing project costs and report on variances to the senior management team.

• Support project teams by providing cost analysis throughout the construction process.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).

• Proven experience as an estimator in the commercial interior construction industry.

• In-depth knowledge of commercial construction processes, materials, and techniques.

• Strong understanding of estimating software and tools (e.g., Planswift, BlueBeam or similar).

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
