Description

The Quality Engineer, Aerospace Manufacturing, will:

  • Support aerospace customer quality requirements by reviewing engineering technical requirements and ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
  • Develop and implement internal documentation for quality planning related to customer requirements.
  • Resolve product and process quality issues through root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with the team to assist in the development of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (PFMEAs), Control Plans, and Production Part Approval Processes (PPAPs).
  • Lead the creation of action plans aimed at improving performance and achieving quality goals.
  • Identify opportunities for proactive improvements in customer satisfaction.
  • Train and support the team on new quality initiatives.
  • Conduct both internal and external quality audits.
  • Onsite at our Hancock, New Hampshire facility

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or materials engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferred: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification.
  • Required: Knowledge of ISO 9001; preferred knowledge of AS9100 and AS13100.
  • Preferred: Experience in quality engineering and/or manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with quality improvement tools and techniques, quality auditing, root cause analysis, and error proofing.
  • Preferred: Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean Manufacturing experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills and good overall computer literacy.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with all levels of the company and external clients, both written and verbally.
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally to meet with customers and suppliers.
  • Local to Hancock, New Hampshire
