The Senior Process Development Engineer will:
- Develop, validate, and optimize manufacturing processes for implantable electronic medical devices.
- Lead equipment specification, procurement, installation, and validation activities.
- Oversee design and acquisition of manufacturing fixtures, tooling, and semi‑automated systems.
- Guide processes involving welding, soldering, cleaning, molding, and surface treatments.
- Perform DOE studies, root‑cause analysis, and process optimization initiatives.
- Mentor engineers and technicians, sharing technical leadership and best practices.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Quality, and R&D teams to align processes with product requirements.
- Manage supplier/consultant relationships and ensure high‑quality documentation.
- Implement efficient workflows and track engineering KPIs to drive performance excellence.
Profile
The successful Senior Process Development Engineer will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred; advanced degree a plus).
- 5+ years of experience developing manufacturing processes in the medical device industry.
- Experience with implantable pulse generator assembly strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in PFMEA, failure analysis, DOE, and full lifecycle product development.
- Strong knowledge of FDA/ISO medical device regulations and compliance requirements.
- Skilled in statistical tools, CAD/3D modeling, and ideally laser/resistance welding.
- Excellent communicator with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment.
