My client is a mid-sized General Contractor with projects local to the Raleigh area with over 100 years in the market creating outstanding relationships and a stable pipeline of work. With an outstanding reputation for both the work they do and company culture, they are one of the most well respected GCs in the Carolinas market. They have ambitious growth plans for the next coming year and seek an experienced Senior Estimator to help foster their growth and grow within the company.

Description

Reporting into a Vp of Preconstruction, The Senior Estimator will be responsible for:

• Being a resource and a mentor to Estimators and Junior Estimators on the team
• Determining the total cost of materials, equipment, utilities, and labor for construction projects.
• Researching construction documents and analyzing specifications.
• Preparing estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work.
• Managing pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions.
• Preparing estimates to meet project goals, such as setting work hours, sequencing tasks, obtaining materials, and securing the best deals with vendors and subcontractors.
• Ensuring that relevant documents and budgets are submitted before a bid deadline.
• Regularly reporting to Management and keeping clients updated on the project status.
• Formulating contingency plans and effectively managing risks that might impact cost and time estimates.
• Keeping track of the latest estimating technology and industry-related techniques.
• Collaborating with other teams, conducting site visits, and providing other services, like bid deliveries, when required.

Profile

The successful Senior Estimator will have the following experience:

• 8+ years of Construction estimating experience with a General Contractor (non-negotiable)
• Experience on Ground up or health care/ Pharma projects preferred
• Knowledge of scheduling, estimating, and cost principles.
• Basic knowledge of project management Software
• A mature professional with excellent judgment.
• A highly entrepreneurial, self-motivated and results-oriented individual.
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and intuitive interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management skills, adaptable with ability to manage multiple priorities & meet deadlines, and keen attention to detail
