Description
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Lead and oversee the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes for aerospace components.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and production, to ensure product manufacturability and maintain quality standards.
- Develop and implement tooling and fixture designs, ensuring compatibility with equipment and product specifications.
- Analyze and troubleshoot production issues, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures to sustain optimal performance.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on best practices in manufacturing processes and standards.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and quality requirements, including AS9100, and FAA standards.

Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role within the aerospace industry.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, welding, and assembly for aerospace components.
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and ERP systems.
- Familiarity with AS9100 quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to process improvements and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to lead projects and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
