My client, a top organization in the specialty material and chemical manufacturing space, is looking to add a Director of Research and Development to their team. This person will be responsible for establishing, managing and directing the overall product strategies and initiatives of the company.
Client Details
My client is specialized in the development and manufacturing of specialty chemicals, photoresists, printed electronic materials, and parylene conformal coatings for microelectronics, MEMS, medical devices, and advanced packaging applications.
Description
The Director of R&D will be responsible for the following:
- Creating product visions
- Owning technology and product roadmaps
- Owning product development processes
- Collaborating with customers and sales teams
- Formulating research and development programs
- Training, motivating and enabling creative thinking
- Ensuring that engineering and product development objectives are defined, measured and performed.
Profile
The Director of R&D should have:
- A bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
- Experience in semiconductor applications engineering
- 10+ years of experience in specialty chemical manufacturing
- The ability to work cross-collaboratively
- A proven track record of success within R&D
- Experience managing budgets
- Product/project management experience
