Director of Engineering & Facilities - Milton, MA
The Director of Engineering & Maintenance oversees and administers the Engineering and Maintenance programs for the Company. This includes managing capital expenditures, engineering projects, process improvements, as well as preventive and corrective maintenance activities essential for the manufacturing operations.

Description
Responsibilities:
- Strengthen and manage the PM program at TRT to best address the needs of a 24x7 chemical manufacturing operation. Drive reliability analysis for equipment and processes for continuous improvement. Complete projects on time, on budget, and in a cost-effective manner.
- Ensure that safety is paramount in all Engineering and Maintenance activities with adherence to safe work practices.
- Lead efforts and provide technical expertise in the identification, development, and implementation of engineering programs, designing and installing new plant equipment, and upgrading existing assets while targeting and eliminating waste.
- Active member of the TRT Management Committee (MCM).
- Interface with Operations to provide hands-on troubleshooting, as well as identification, investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of improved processes and/or equipment.
- Manage and oversee the plant capital expenditure budget and resource allocations, as well as operating expenses for Engineering and Maintenance.
- To establish and maintain plant-engineering capability needed to implement product, process, and quality improvement projects at optimum cost, in line with TRT's Quality standards and all applicable Federal and State regulatory standards. Initiates, implements, and manages the plant maintenance program based on best practices in the chemical manufacturing industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance. Allocate resources within Engineering and Maintenance Departments to ensure plant and project needs are supported.
- Tracks, analyzes, and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc. Manage the Engineering and Maintenance team Work Plans/Objectives and evaluate them through Performance Reviews on a regular basis.
- Perform other duties as requested or required.
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- Knowledge of engineering principles, project management, and mechanical aptitude.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in engineering, maintenance, or project management for a large manufacturing/industrial company.
- Strong leadership, directing, collaborating, and influencing skills.
- Continuous Learning - Understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem solving and decision-making.
- Experience in Capital Project Development, Cost Estimation, and Management.
- Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions.
- Be accessible at all times.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or a relevant field of study.
