Commercial Construction Project Engineer- Tualatin, OR

The Project Engineer's job is to assist and support the construction team in executing the construction procedures and ensuring they are completed in a timely and efficient manner by performing duties. Description

  • Help assist and support the project manager and other project engineer in the oversight of the project from pre-constriction to close out
  • Able to read blueprints, structural drawings, and plan sets
  • Can identify and solve potential issues throughout the projects to help prevent potential negative impacts that can help ensure safety of work
  • Able to help Project manager estimate both construction management and self- perform work items, update project schedule, and review subcontractor bid proposals
  • process subcontractor change orders
  • Review submittals and RFI's

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in a construction management or related degree
  • Has had Project Engineer Internships with reputable general contractors
  • Has 1-3 years experience working in the Project engineer role
  • Has worked on new construction, ground up, or tenant improvement projects
  • Has high interpersonal skills and is self aware
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, and is able to speak effectively to customers and clients
