Territory Sales Manager - Process Equipment - Southeast

Description
- Account Management: Oversee an established customer base in the Southeast region, maintaining strong relationships with key accounts and ensuring customer satisfaction. Provide ongoing support, technical expertise, and service to ensure long-term client retention.
- New Business Development: Proactively drive new business within the territory, identifying and pursuing opportunities with potential clients in various sectors, including food processing, pharmaceuticals, energy, building materials, mining, wood production, and chemicals.
- Sales Execution: Sell a full suite of products, including conveyor belt scales, weigh belt feeders, and other material handling solutions. Understand customer needs and present tailored solutions to solve complex problems and improve operational efficiency.
- Strategic Planning & Reporting: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base. Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to stay ahead of industry shifts and customer demands.
- Territory Growth: Drive market share growth within your designated region, with an emphasis on both maintaining and expanding current accounts, as well as identifying new prospects in the Southeast region.
- Collaboration & Support: Work closely with the internal sales team, engineering, and customer service to ensure the highest level of customer support and timely project execution. Collaborate with colleagues to maximize cross-selling opportunities and align on key sales initiatives.
Profile
- Proven success in outside sales, managing a multi-million dollar territory, and selling complex technical products or solutions to industrial markets.
- Minimum of Bachelor Degree in a technical field; from an accredited institution.
- Engineering Degree is preferred
- A minimum of 5-10 years of sales experience in the process equipment industry (conveyors, feeders, etc.)
- Strong experience in selling to food processing, pharmaceutical, energy, power plants, building materials, mining, wood production, and chemical industries.
- Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with customers, engineering teams, and other key stakeholders.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills, with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth in a competitive market.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Travel required within the Southeast region to meet with customers, attend trade shows, and participate in industry events.
- Knowledge of the company's products, services, and solutions is a plus but not required.
