Quality Engineer- Plastics Manufacturer-Asbury Park, NJ
My client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing team. This role is critical in driving continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and supporting production teams in delivering high-performance products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality systems, root cause analysis, and regulatory compliance within a manufacturing environment.

Description
They key responsibilities of the Quality Engineer will be:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems and procedures in accordance with ISO and customer requirements
 - Conduct root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) for internal and external quality issues
 - Perform audits, inspections, and validations to ensure product and process compliance
 - Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality concerns and improve processes
 - Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and drive improvement initiatives
 - Support customer quality requirements, including documentation and communication
 - Maintain calibration and control of measurement equipment

Profile
The successful Quality Engineer will have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field preferred
 - 3+ years of experience in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing environment
 - Strong knowledge of ISO standards, GMP, and regulatory compliance
 - Proficiency in root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA)
 - Experience with statistical process control and quality metrics
 - Excellent communication and documentation skills
 - Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
