Accountant/Finance Analyst | Manufacturing | Deerfield, IL

My client is a Mid-Sized specialized manufacturer located in the Deerfield, IL area who is seeking a Financial Analyst/Accountant to join their growing Accounting & Finance team. This position will be a hybrid role with both FP&A and Accounting responsibilities and play a large role with the company's financial operations.

Their operations are designed to handle both small-scale and large-volume orders efficiently, with an emphasis on quality and speed.

Description

Accountant/Finance Analyst Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growth.
• Prepare financial models, forecasts, and reports to support business planning and decision-making processes.
• Conduct profitability analysis on products, services, and customer segments.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department managers to ensure accurate financial planning.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by management.
• Manage daily accounting activities, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, assisting with internal and external audits.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
• Support the implementation and enforcement of internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of combined experience in financial analysis and accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Excel for financial modeling.
• Knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with cost accounting principles in manufacturing.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
