Director of Finance - Americas
The Director of Finance - Americas will be a key member of the executive leadership team in the Americas reporting directly to the CFO (based in Europe) and dotted line to the Americas President. The Director of Finance will manage a team of 2 direct reports and have a total team of 25-30 covering US, Mexico, and Brazil.

The Director of Finance will manage a team of 2 direct reports and have a total team of 25-30 covering US, Mexico, and Brazil. This Director of Finance will have full ownership of the financial performance of the Americas region and be responsible for Controllership, FP&A, and Integrated Supply Chain Finance.

Description
- Lead and serve as the Head of Finance and Controllership for the Americas region
- Provide executive leadership in the continuous evaluation of short and long term strategic financial objectives and offer recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities
- FP&A business partnering leading reporting, planning for the region (AOP and STRAP) working as a business partner to the Americas President
- Responsible for timely, accurate, and consistent reporting of financial information, including full monthly, quarterly and annual closing for the region
- Report to executive management customer profitability and analysis of performance of results and variance vs budget
- Actively participate in Executive Management Team meetings; provide updates relating to Financials and other areas of responsibility.
- Led, guide, and mentor the Supply Chain finance teams working closely with the Operations and Supply Chain leadership
- Ensure process improvements and controls are met, managing standard costing, inventory valuation and manufacturing variance analysis
- Review business performance and results vs variances to budget, reforecasting and previous performance
- Partner with Global FP&A to review operations costs and SG&A
- Ensure accurate US GAAP accounting, appropriate internal controls for all legal entities
- Responsible for preparing the annual 3-year and 5-year business plan
- Ensure timely completion of all tax and compliance activities for the region, work closely with tax and treasury on accounting for complex transactions
- Personnel evaluation and/or development of a strong accounting and finance team driving performance while developing and growing team's skillets
- Travel 25-35% as needed in the Americas region
Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or similar required
- MBA and/or CPA/CMA highly preferred
- Minimum 15 years of experience in FP&A, Manufacturing Finance, Controllership related roles
- Minimum 3 years of experience is a Sr. Financial Leadership position
- Prior experience in public accounting highly preferred - Big 4
- Ability and proven track record working with various departments - sales, finance, accounting, HR, engineering, manufacturing, etc.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing operational improvements to increase revenues, decrease costs and improve cash flow
- Must have automotive industry experience (prior working at OEM is a plus) with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications and products, business intelligence systems
- Extensive knowledge and experience working with large ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, etc.
- SAP, HFM experience highly preferred
- Strong with US GAAP and SOX
- Business minded and strong team player mentality
- Strong communication skills written and verbal
- Strong work ethic and high attention to detail with a passion to win and positively influence a company culture
Job Offer
Competitive base salary $220,000 - $270,000 depending on experience, bonus, long term incentive, full benefits, 401K, vacation, holidays. Being a part of a growing and innovative company with a seat on the leadership team with additional global growth opportunities. Candidates must be local, but hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office.
