Description
The Project Manager- Large New Construction/Ground Up Projects- DC will be responsible for:
- Providing technical advice and resolve issues in collaboration with project personnel.
- Directing and coordinating the activities of project personnel to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
- Reviewing status reports from project personnel and adjust schedules or plans as necessary.
- Reviewing project proposals, drawings, and plans to determine timelines, funding limits, procedures, staffing needs, and resource allocation for each project phase.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with subcontractors, ensuring a list of those who perform quality work.
- Collaborating with project staff to outline work plans, assign duties, define responsibilities, and set the scope of authority.
- Conducting material take-offs and develop cost estimates.
- Creating daily, weekly, and monthly schedules to support and maintain the overall project timeline.
- Preparing and delivering project reports for management, clients, and other stakeholders.
Profile
The Project Manager- Large New Construction/Ground Up Projects- DC will have:
- Over 3 years of experience in construction
- Must have managed at least one ground-up project
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively
- Eager to advance professionally in their career
- Committed to contributing to the growth of a respected General Contractor
- Willing to mentor junior Project Managers
- Proven success in building client relationships
