Our client is seeking a Senior Estimator or Preconstruction Manager with at least 8 years of experience in Commercial Construction and a minimum of 5 years in Estimating, preferably with multifamily project experience. This role involves overseeing the estimation process, collaborating with various stakeholders, and managing a team, reporting directly to the VP of Preconstruction.

Senior Estimator - Leading GC - Multifamily - Bridgewater, MA - Responsibilities

• Review construction plans and documentation to create accurate estimates for time, costs, materials, and labor.
• Prepare detailed estimates to assist in vendor or subcontractor selection.
• Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other departments to develop estimates and address issues.
• Discuss changes and adjustments to cost estimates with engineers, architects, owners, and subcontractors.
• Evaluate RFIs and addendums and attend necessary pre-construction meetings.
• Present cost estimates to clients or project owners and oversee all aspects of the estimation process.
• Analyze costs and metrics from previous projects to identify discrepancies and underlying causes.
• Develop comprehensive scopes of work and bid comparison sheets.
• Organize and lead meetings with oversight from senior management.

Profile

Senior Estimator - Leading GC - Multifamily - Bridgewater, MA - Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Commercial Construction
• At least 5 years focused on Estimating, ideally in multifamily projects
• BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Demonstrates strong proficiency in On-Screen Take-off and the ability to review and interpret construction plans accurately
• Be a collaborative leader, skilled in managing teams and engaging with clients and stakeholders, with a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset to analyze costs and drive project success.
