Construction Superintendent

We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage commercial building and construction projects from pre-construction through closeout in San Diego. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to our quality standards.

Description

• Serve as the primary on-site leader, overseeing subcontractors, vendors, and field crews

• Maintain consistent communication with clients, subcontractors, and project managers

• Ensure that work is performed in accordance with the project documents, including plans, specifications, and approved submittals

• Conduct layout and verify field conditions to proactively identify and resolve potential conflicts

• Organize and supervise jobsite personnel to ensure safety, quality, and productivity

• Schedule subcontractors and consultants to maintain project timelines

• Hold weekly jobsite safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance

• Monitor site safety daily and enforce safety regulations

• Provide and maintain accurate two-week look-ahead schedules

• Work closely with inspectors and ensure that all permits, licenses, and safety regulations are followed

• Monitor and document daily project progress

• Ensure that budgetary guidelines are followed without compromising quality

Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong focus on tenant improvement as a Construction Superintendent

• High school diploma or GED required; degree in construction management or related field preferred

• Proficiency in construction software including Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and Word

• Strong leadership and organizational skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and walk job sites as needed

• Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Must own necessary tools and be proficient with their use

Job Offer

Job Type: Full-time Construction Superintendent

Pay: $100,000 - $130,000 per year
