Civil Estimator | Manhattan, NYC
A well-established general contractor is seeking a Civil Estimator to take charge of bidding and pre-construction efforts for major infrastructure, site development, and heavy civil projects. With nearly two decades of success, this trusted general contractor has delivered billions in civil, site work, and infrastructure projects across the region. They are known for their expertise in roadwork, utilities, earthwork, bridges, and large-scale site development, working with both municipal and private clients.
Description
Prepare detailed estimates and competitive bids for heavy civil and infrastructure projects.
Analyze drawings, specifications, and contracts to develop accurate cost projections.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors during pre-construction.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and risk factors to ensure profitability.
Manage vendor and subcontractor pricing, negotiate contracts, and ensure competitive proposals.
Profile
5+ years of experience estimating civil construction projects (site work, utilities, roads, bridges, etc.).
Strong knowledge of heavy civil, DOT projects, excavation, grading, and infrastructure.
Proficiency in estimating software (HCSS, HeavyBid, Bluebeam, etc.).
Ability to analyze market trends, labor costs, and material pricing.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
