AVP, Corporate Compliance Risk Assessment
Join one of the world's largest banking institutions as they look to build out and enhance their overarching compliance program. Work within their corporate compliance function to help continually improve their risk assessments, frameworks, and controls.
Client Details
Client is one of the top five largest banking organizations in the world.
Description
Identifies, develops, and maps initial risk factors and themes to the appropriate Lines of Business for the Corporate Compliance Risk Assessment.
Reviews initial responses from Business Units for the Corporate Compliance Risk Assessment.
Escalates identified risk issues to the Corporate Compliance Director or Risk Assessment Officer.
Researches laws and regulations relevant to the Branch's product offerings.
Researches laws and regulations applicable to the Branch's overall business operations.
Assists the Corporate Compliance Director by conducting preliminary reviews of policies and procedures during their annual updates.
Profile
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) required; law degree preferred.
Over 5 years of experience in a Corporate Compliance role.
Minimum of 2 years in a Risk Assessment role preferred.
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities.
Ability to understand, interpret, and apply laws and regulations.
Solid knowledge of corporate compliance, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements relevant to the NYC branch of a foreign banking organization.
Background in commercial or wholesale banking preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with GRC systems such as Archer is a plus, but not required.
